The president of Runnymede Development Corporation, John Kaplan hatched the original concept for the Temmy Latner Forest Hill Jewish Centre, and has continued to be involved on a daily basis while serving as chair of the international Jewish outreach organization, Ohr Somayach. John’s community involvement begins each weekday at 6 a.m. with his teaching of a Talmud class at the Centre — but he has also shared his vision, leadership and philanthropic talents with causes and institutions around the globe.
With a history of developing successful enterprises from electronics to dry cleaning, Sam Mizrahi is now at the helm of full-service custom home builder, Mizrahi Design Build. Sam is also at the forefront of developing new approaches to community work, through the Six Points Jewish Venture Philanthropy Fund, which is dedicated to fostering charitable innovations. The bold vision of the Temmy Latner Forest Hill Jewish Centre has similarly sparked Sam’s entrepreneurial spirit for his role as construction co-chairman.
